We are excited to host this year’s Trek to the Wild Side Auction Event, on Friday May 19, 2023, at Farm 12 Restaurant and Event Center. All the funds will directly support the new Wildlife Commissary. The new Commissary will centralize all of our food storage and diet preparation needs into one building. Our new walk-in freezer and cooler are more than 4x the size of existing facilities. Receiving deliveries of our diet items will be far more efficient, with the ability to bring in full pallets of goods and set them in place. Currently, we have to offload everything one case/bag at a time. The upgraded elements will allow our Keepers to spend more time with their wildlife which will only help them in the long run. The entire facility is also designed to meet our needs as we grow into the future.
